For my personal Christmas card this year, I knew I wanted to illustrate my grandma’s ornament collection from the 50’s and 60’s. The shapes and colors of the ornaments were diverse and fascinating, I was immediately drawn to them the moment I saw them. After brainstorming a few ideas, I sketched out a girl in a beautiful flair dress, dancing while decorating with the ornaments. This concept soon turned into a full illustration, a series of patterns, then stickers and gift tags.
It’s one thing to illustrate something fun and colorful for the holiday season. It’s another to let your imagination run wild while incorporating special memories from your past. This ornament collection was so special to three generations and it’s something that I will keep in my family forever. It was such a joy to bring them to life for friends and family in my Christmas card this year.
Two typographic designs created for the launch of the Faith Social shop. These designs were created with women in mind, and it was my desire to create beauty within each design while complementing each encouraging message.

As a freelance illustrator working with Sarasota Magazine, I was asked to create a magazine illustration focusing on the luxurious life of dogs in the city of Sarasota, FL. With this in mind, I began thinking of how dogs might relax, socialize, and party in a cosmopolitan cityscape scene. The project manager had very specific style in mind, so I began sketching and creating concepts via her direction. The entire project was completed in three days and was published in the magazine a few months later.
